Data Scientist

DMG Blockchain Solutions Inc. is looking for a passionate and collaborative Data Scientist to help build products both for our own operations and for our clients. At DMG you will play a key role in making Blockchain and Cryptocurrency accessible to non technical users.

Our engineering team builds software using React, and React Native on the frontend and Node.js, Python and Bitcoin Core on the backend.

Our core products that you will be working on are:

• Mine Manager - An event stream based solution to manage cryptocurrency mining assets.

• Blockseer Pool - An audited, clean transaction, Bitcoin pool.

• Blockseer Data Collection - Scraping the web for cryptocurrency wallet addresses and determining their use.

• Walletscore - Using our data to score the risk of cryptocurrency wallet addresses

You will:

• Work with the development team to seamlessly integrate Data Science pipelines into product

• Deliver on rapid implementation schedules to build software that is functional, fast, and scalable.

Qualifications

You are obsessed with finding value from large unruly data sets, you are not scared to take on data and pull meaning without direction. Excited to work in a fast paced environment that remains competitive in a bleeding edge industry.

You have:

• Enthusiasm to work in cryptocurrency

• At least 3 years of experience in data science, mathematical/statistical modelling

• Working knowledge of common machine learning algorithms used in regression, classification and prospectivity modelling

• Have experience with Docker or other Containers

• Have experience with C++ and Python

• Have experience with relational databases, SQL, and engines like PostgreSQL, MySQL

• Demonstrate hands-on experience working on web-based software applications

• Familiar with Google Cloud and/or AWS

• Proven ability to optimizing virtual infrastructure

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Detail-orientation throughout the development lifecycle

• Ability to work with little supervision

• Passion for data science

Nice to have:

• Experience using Cryptocurrencies; e.g. Ethereum, Bitcoin, etc

• Understanding of how Blockchains work
