JOB DESCRIPTION

TD Insurance Life & Health Product Management team is responsible for the development, management, performance monitoring, and enhancement of insurance products that help protect customers and their families. As a Product Management Co-op/Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working on strategic initiatives, product analytics, customer insights, competitive research, and business performance reporting.

In this role, you will work closely with Product Managers and cross-functional partners across Distribution, Analytics, Finance, Actuarial, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Marketing, and Digital teams to support the execution of business priorities and customer-focused product enhancements.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Support product managers in the development and management of Life & Health insurance products and initiatives.
  • Analyze product performance metrics, sales trends, customer behavior, and portfolio results to identify opportunities and insights.
  • Assist with business case development, financial analysis, forecasting, and executive reporting.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify emerging industry trends, customer needs, and best practices.
  • Support the creation of presentations, executive summaries, dashboards, and performance updates for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product launches, enhancements, and regulatory or operational initiatives.
  • Assist with reviewing product documentation, training materials, customer communications, and marketing content for accuracy and consistency.
  • Leverage data and analytical tools to transform information into actionable business insights.
  • Participate in project planning, stakeholder meetings, and ongoing strategic initiatives within the Life & Health business.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate, master's or MBA degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data Science, Business/Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of returning to school following the completion of the work term.

Business-Specific Requirements
  • Interest in product management, insurance, financial services, customer experience, or business strategy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, Tableau, AI Tools, or other analytical tools is considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to think critically, challenge assumptions, and contribute innovative ideas to improve business outcomes.
  • Previous experience in data analysis, consulting, project management, financial services, insurance, or related internships is considered an asset.
