Job Description

As a Market Research and Insights Advisor within Experience, Marketing, Communications and Insights team, you'll provide a wide range of research, analysis, and decision support services to deepen our understanding of the needs, attitudes, opinions, perceptions, and behaviours of our stakeholders. You'll gather requirements, define research objectives, and conduct market research and leverage actionable insights that will enhance our ability to fulfill our mandate.

How you'll make a difference: You'll build the understanding and trust that helps WorkSafeBC serve people across B.C.

This is a temporary role for 16 months.

Where you'll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely, and in our offices based on the operational needs of the position.
  • Identify and scope market research opportunities to support strategic planning, decision-making, and program evaluation
  • Access a wide array of research methodologies, including focus groups, in-depth interviews, surveys, panels, and online discussion boards
  • Project manage clear project milestones, providing on-going consultation and communication with stakeholders
  • Work cross-functionally within the organization to synthesize multiple sources of information (including secondary research)
  • Uncover and deliver insights, implications, and recommendations that drive business improvements in an easy-to-understand and engaging manner
  • Consistently models the appropriate level of organizational behaviours expected of all WorkSafeBC employees: responsive, respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward thinking
Is this a good fit for you?
We're looking for someone who can:
  • Develop focused research objectives and identify appropriate research solutions
  • Apply proper sampling techniques to achieve quotas, targeting, response rates, and representativeness
  • Synthesize data and information quickly and efficiently to report findings and draw succinct conclusions for internal partners
  • Build and maintain positive, effective working relationships with team members, partners, and clients
  • Facilitate workshops
  • Lead research projects from inception to conclusion
Your background and experience
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, computer science, or social sciences with a focus on market research
  • A minimum of six years of experience conducting market research with experience of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

Our benefits

  • Extra 4% of your salary in lieu of benefits and 4% in lieu of vacation from the day you start Once you've worked for 1820 hours (approximately 12 months), you'll switch to getting:
  • 3 weeks of vacation with regular increases based on years of service • Extensive health care and dental benefits
  • Sick leave and long-term disability coverage

Salary: $41.55 - $52.35/hourly
