Are you passionate about developing programs, processes, and frameworks to support divisional planning and governance for People & Culture (HR)? Do you thrive in roles that require effective communication and collaboration with senior leaders across the division to enable divisional success?

We're looking for a People & Culture Specialist - Planning & Governance for an 18-month temporary opportunity.

In this role, you'll help shape planning and governance frameworks that enhance alignment, consistency, and impact across the People & Culture division.

Reporting to the Director, People & Culture - Divisional Planning & Enablement, you'll support the creation and maintenance, of P&C resources that enable effective governance and knowledge management across the division.

As a People & Culture Specialist - Planning & Governance, you will:
  • Develop and maintain programs, processes, frameworks, documentation, and resources that support divisional planning and governance across the People & Culture (P&C) division.
  • Enable effective cross-divisional communication by coordinating the flow of information across various channels, gathering project and initiative status updates, and compiling content for divisional reports and planning deliverables.
  • Liaise with Business Engagement Services and Communications to ensure the P&C division receives aligned and effective support for communications and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with P&C directors to gather input, facilitate discussions, and present recommendations that refine governance structures, planning frameworks, and internal processes.
  • Coordinate divisional governance activities and knowledge management efforts to ensure accurate, timely, and accessible information is available across the division.
  • Consistently models the appropriate level of organizational behaviours expected of all WorkSafeBC employees: responsive, respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward thinking
We're looking for someone who can:
  • Build strong relationships across divisions and collaborate with senior leaders while also working independently with initiative and sound decision-making.
  • Develop and deliver clear, persuasive communication tailored to different audiences, with a focus on written documentation, presentations, and equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) principles.
  • Analyze complex program and planning data to generate insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Facilitate working sessions, stakeholder discussions, and planning activities with confidence and effectiveness.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where strategic planning, thoughtful frameworks, and clear information flow are critical to success.
  • Facilitate engaging presentations and discussions with cross-functional stakeholders, including collaboration with divisional leaders to collect and document critical information
Your background and experience
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources, with three years specializing in program management and development.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.

Salary: $92,918 - $112,895/annually
