Job Description:

We are looking for a visionary Senior Product Owner for Salesforce Data Cloud to lead TD's next era of data-driven marketing transformation. In this role, you will shape the strategy, roadmap, and adoption of Data Cloud as the foundation for real-time personalization, unified customer intelligence, and cross-channel experiences. You will play a critical role in TD's agile marketing transformation, inspiring business partners with a clear vision of the future, aligning teams around shared outcomes, and driving momentum behind new capabilities that elevate how we engage customers. This is a unique opportunity to lead the evolution of our marketing and digital ecosystem as Salesforce moves personalization, segmentation, and intelligence into its Data Cloud core.

CUSTOMER
  • Partner with senior leadership to define and evolve the enterprise vision for Salesforce Data Cloud as the core enabler of personalized, data-driven customer experiences across all channels.
  • Translate the Data Cloud vision into a clear roadmap of business outcomes and use cases (e.g., audience segmentation, real-time personalization, identity resolution, consent management).
  • Build and maintain a value-focused product backlog of features and data capabilities that maximize impact on marketing, sales, and service journeys.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and Salesforce architects to continuously refine data models, unification rules, and activation pipelines for optimal customer value.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators such as match rates, activation rates, data freshness, and downstream campaign lift; recommend enhancements to improve business outcomes.
  • Work with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Personalization, Loyalty Management, and Financial Services Cloud teams to enable seamless cross-cloud data activation.
  • Represent the voice of the customer and the business in all agile ceremonies (stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives), ensuring that every iteration delivers measurable value.
  • Ensure that downstream teams (marketing, analytics, compliance) are prepared for new data capabilities and Day 2 operational processes.

SHAREHOLDER
  • Govern product delivery within enterprise frameworks and partnering with Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE) and Marketing Data Engineering on standards for data privacy, consent, and compliance.
  • Partner with risk, privacy, and security teams to ensure adherence to data governance and regulatory requirements (e.g., PII handling, consent capture, retention policies).
  • Drive quarterly business reviews (QBRs) highlighting Data Cloud adoption, business outcomes, and roadmap progress.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate delivery, data quality, and adoption risks.
  • Define and monitor Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) tied to measurable business metrics such as increased campaign efficiency, improved conversion rates, or enhanced customer insight.
  • Champion enterprise data maturity through collaboration with analytics, MarTech, and CRM teams to align strategy, platforms, and execution.
  • Continuously assess new Salesforce and ecosystem capabilities (e.g., Agentforce, Einstein AI, Data Spaces) and propose strategic adoption plans.

EMPLOYEE / TEAM
  • Lead a cross-functional squad / agile pod technology resources, Data Engineers, and Analysts focused on evolving the Salesforce Data Cloud platform.
  • Cultivate a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning-bridging marketing, technology, and analytics.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to strengthen their understanding of Salesforce Data Cloud architecture, data ingestion patterns, and real-time activation.
  • Foster inclusivity and psychological safety, encouraging experimentation and innovation in how customer data drives value.
  • Recognize and develop talent to sustain a diverse pipeline of future leaders in digital data and product disciplines.
  • Champion continuous improvement by listening to team and stakeholder feedback to enhance the delivery model and colleague experience.

BREADTH & DEPTH
  • Lead end-to-end Salesforce Data Cloud product strategy, from vision to value realization, influencing multiple stakeholder groups across Marketing, Technology, and Risk.
  • Act as the primary business liaison to Salesforce architects, data engineers, and external partners, ensuring that data ingestion, unification, and activation align with business goals.
  • Translate complex technical concepts (identity graphs, harmonized data models, streaming ingestion) into simple, outcome-driven narratives for executives.
  • Develop a scalable roadmap for multi-market and multi-line-of-business deployment while managing dependencies with other Salesforce clouds and enterprise data assets.
  • Represent the Data Cloud domain in enterprise steering committees, bringing forward insights, emerging trends, and innovation opportunities.

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Technology, or related discipline required; graduate degree preferred, or relevant work experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in Salesforce ecosystem product ownership or delivery.
  • Proven experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP), Marketing Cloud, and integration with external data systems.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and/or Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Consultant) considered strong assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a scaled agile environment (SAFe).
  • Deep understanding of customer data strategy, identity resolution, real-time activation, and consent governance.
