Gratify is looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our growing creative team in Vancouver on a 3-4 month contract

About Gratify Pay

Gratify Pay is a Canadian B2B Fintech company founded in Vancouver in 2021. We specialize in creating innovative payment solutions for our customers; Payment Processors and Payment Facilitators (PayFac).

Our premier product is a buy-now-pay-later platform. BNPL companies are experiencing hyper-growth, and in the process disintermediating Merchants from their PayFac – cutting them out of the purchase and reducing revenue associated with the Merchant. PayFacs can integrate the Gratify BNPL platform to extend their product offering to Merchants, reducing disintermediation while also increasing revenue.

We pride ourselves on customer experience, speed to market, and innovation. We are building a bank-grade platform and products to support our partners and are looking for like-minded team members to join us on our mission.

About the Role

This exciting role will design new screens from the ground up, for B2B use in multiple regions around the world. A passion for clean design is what’s needed here as we build a global platform for payments management. You will create the direction of our product’s look and feel using Figma, and working closely with Product and senior leadership to get your designs into the hands of customers. Your Figma designs will be implemented by our Dev teams using vue.js

The successful applicant will:

  • Create designs and libraries in Figma for the development team to bring your designs to life using vue.js
  • Establish a set of design standards, documentation, and principles that are used alongside a design system of design interactions, patterns and scalable components to build a consistent product.
  • You will frame and solve hard design problems informed by data (quantitative and qualitative) and a strong vision
  • Prototype for user testing, assisting with development decisions and innovating. These range from paper or click-throughs to higher fidelity prototypes.
  • Design accessible libraries that allow the development team to confidently implement pixel-perfect screens using Vue.js
  • Build collaborative relationships with in an environment that celebrates individuality and people first
  • Contribute to user research projects, competitive analysis and user feedback mechanisms to make your designs even better.
  • Organize, label and structure content in way that is understandable for users/players to allow them to find and move through information and complete tasks
  • You'll help our teams empathize with users and advocate for the customer

This is a 3-4 month contract position. Due to Covid all staff are working remotely. When the office opens, all staff will continue with a flexible mixed office/remote schedule.

Qualifications and Experience

  • You’re a builder, and not afraid to put your ideas out there for collaboration.
  • A learn and fail fast mindset, highly desirable in our growth phase. This is not for someone who wants to maintain an established function.
  • Exceptional UX portfolio (quality over quantity)
  • Passion for designing intuitive B2B and consumer-facing experiences
  • You have a broad UX design toolkit for different stages of development

Assets

  • Experience designing for a payments or technology business
  • Experience presenting and rationalizing UX design strategy and decisions to diverse audiences using these opportunities to advocate for players, share knowledge and demonstrate design thinking in action.

What we offer in return includes the beauty of Vancouver, colleagues that are as brilliant as they are likeable, and the flexibility to work the way that is most suitable to you. We offer a competitive salary, extended health benefits, flex-time schedules, and a work environment that encourages and supports your growth & development.
