Job Summary
The Strategy, Change, and Operational Excellence (SCOE) team is part of the Bank's Transformation, Enablement and Customer Experience (TECE) organization.
The SCOE team houses several best-in-class Enterprise Operational Excellence capabilities, including Change Management, Process Engineering, Business Architecture, Digitization and Automation and Front-to-Back.
Front-to-Back (F2B) is an enterprise specialist function responsible for delivering comprehensive assessments of elements of TD's operating model such as processes or functions, which drive cross-functional change and business value. The AVP, F2B leads a teams of cross-functional experts, working directly with business line SMEs and Executives to translate insight into action, operating at the intersection of business, risk, and operations. This role demands strong storytelling, structured thinking, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence. As an engagement leader, the AVP is accountable for delivering outcomes, influencing executive stakeholders, and advancing enterprise consistency in F2B execution.

Depth & Scope
- Leads end-to-end delivery of F2B engagements delivery across one or more segments, functions, or enterprise priorities
- Serves as the primary engagement lead, accountable for framing, execution, and outcome realization
- Partners with SVP-level executives, Risk, and Functional stakeholders to ensure insights are integrated, and adopted
- Operates without formal people leadership, but leads assigned resources (Program Leads, Analysts) and embedded Segment SMEs to provide day-to-day coaching and guidance
- Translates complex data and business insights into compelling narratives that drive decision-making
- Navigates ambiguity with composure, aligning multiple stakeholder perspectives to a shared path forward
Key Accountabilities
A. Engagement Leadership
- Lead scoping, problem framing, and execution planning for F2B engagements
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and insight development activities to surface root causes and drive clarity
- Manage executive relationships throughout the engagement lifecycle, from intake to recommendation delivery
- Ensure consistency in insight quality, storytelling, and methodology application across assigned teams
- Synthesize data and qualitative findings into fact-based, action-oriented deliverables
B. Talent Guidance & Methodology Stewardship
- Coach assigned F2B practitioners in delivery quality, stakeholder management, and enterprise fluency
- Reinforce structured thinking, outcome focus, and storytelling within delivery teams
- Support reuse of artifacts, insights, and best practices to accelerate future engagements
- Uphold the F2B framework, ensuring alignment to standards while allowing for situational flexibility
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years leading complex, cross-functional transformation or process improvement efforts
- Proven ability to influence and engage SVP-level executives across business, risk, and operations
- Excellent problem-solving and storytelling skills - able to transform data and opinions into clear, actionable insight
- Strong facilitation, communication, and synthesis capabilities across varying levels of stakeholder maturity
- Experience operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with evolving priorities
- Comfort guiding teams and individuals without formal reporting lines
- Background in financial services, risk management, operations, or consulting preferred
Success Measures / Outcomes
- Delivery of timely, high-quality engagement outcomes aligned to enterprise or segment priorities
- Positive feedback and sustained engagement from Segment Executives and Risk partners
- Tangible impact on process performance, risk posture, or colleague/customer experience

- Strengthening of F2B practitioner capability through in-engagement coaching and leadership
