Department Overview
The Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) department of TD Bank is responsible for overseeing the management of TD Bank's: non-trading market risk, liquidity risk and capital position.
The Liquidity Risk Management team within TBSM is responsible for ensuring the Bank maintains sufficient cash, investments and funding to permit the Bank to operate effectively during both normal operations and stressed market conditions. The team identifies, measures, and forecasts the Bank's liquidity needs and it risks. This includes recommending and taking appropriate actions to maintain a strong risk profile. This requires working with partners across the Bank to manage liquidity risk and ensure its costs and drivers are well understood.

The AVP, Treasury, Enterprise Liquidity Management will lead and develop a team of finance and risk professionals responsible for managing the Bank's Canadian Retail Liquidity Risk, as well as managing several enterprise liquidity risks for the Bank's consolidated position.

Job Description
The AVP, Treasury, Enterprise Liquidity Management will lead and develop a team of finance and risk professionals responsible for managing the Bank's Canadian Retail Liquidity Risk, as well as managing several enterprise liquidity risks for the Bank's consolidated position.
- Provides leadership and oversight for the Liquidity Risk management of TD's Canadian Retail business, ensuring risks are in line with TD's risk appetite.
- Acts as an expert for both regulatory and internal liquidity risk rules and regulations and develops a detailed understanding of liquidity risks arising from TD's various products and activities.
- Responsible for forecasting liquidity positions and developing effective plans to manage liquidity shortfalls.
- Owns and enhances the relevant assumptions, methodologies and frameworks that informs how Liquidity Risk is measured and managed.
- Leads regulatory advocacy initiatives on Liquidity Risk with Canadian Regulators (e.g. OSFI and CDIC)
- Works closely with TD's Risk functions to provide input and direction on Risk policies and frameworks for Liquidity.
- Oversees the MD&A reporting process for TD's liquidity risk sections.
- Delivers on key initiatives spanning regulatory, analytical, process and technology domains.
- Collaborates with various groups across the Bank: Treasury, Risk Management, Wholesale Bank, Finance, Operations and Technology groups
Requirements
- Demonstrated Experience - In areas like: Treasury, Risk, Liquidity risk management, Finance and/or wholesale banking
- Change Management - Has a track record of making an impact, managing key deliverables and driving change
- Understanding of Capital Markets - A well rounded understanding of Financial Markets and the functions of capital markets
- Analytical and Critical thinking - Well developed analytical skills and is comfortable with dealing with complex business situations and information.
- Operational Excellence - Strong skills in process development, efficiency and control enhancements. This includes building and improving operational processes with technology partners
- Effective Stakeholder Management - Fosters an open dialogue and a positive working relationship with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Flexible and Accountable Leader - Ability to perform well in addressing ambiguous and unstructured problems and managing dynamic business requirements.

- 7-10 years of experience in related fields of finance, accounting, bank treasury, capital markets
- Post-secondary degree in Finance, Business, Risk and/or Economics
- Valued designations: CPA, FRM, CFA, MBA
