The role provides strategic oversight of intraday liquidity risk through advanced analytics, insight-driven reporting, and strong governance to support effective management of daily payment activity and alignment with regulatory expectations. The position integrates liquidity analytics and regulatory reporting with the design and refinement of key metrics, forward-looking risk monitoring, and ongoing challenge of methodologies and assumptions. The role plays an influential part in shaping system and data design, strengthening governance and control frameworks, and driving continuous enhancement of the intraday liquidity management capability. This position offers regular exposure to senior management and direct engagement with key stakeholders, including Enterprise Liquidity Risk, Audit, and executive leadership, with opportunities to present insights and recommendations at senior forums.

Key accountabilities include:
Intraday Liquidity Risk Reporting and Analytics:
- Prepare and ensure accuracy of regulatory liquidity risk reporting, including submissions to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI).
- Support regulatory examinations and inquiries related to intraday liquidity risk and management.
- Deliver regular and reliable intraday liquidity metrics, analytics, and insights based on a deep understanding of the firm's businesses, client activities, and payment flows. Measure, analyze, and explain key liquidity risk metric
- Provide clear, accurate commentary on liquidity metrics, highlighting key drivers, trends, and emerging risks, while escalating issues in a timely manner.
- Own the development and enhancement of intraday liquidity reporting to meet internal management needs, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
- Support management with ad hoc intraday and short-term liquidity analysis as required.
- Design, review, and enhance daily intraday liquidity reports to identify emerging risks, trends, and potential stress points.
Intraday Liquidity Risk Management & Oversight
- Provide day-to-day oversight of intraday liquidity risk, ensuring payment activities are appropriately monitored and managed.
- Establish alerts, escalation protocols, and monitoring processes to ensure timely communication of intraday liquidity risks and limit breaches to relevant stakeholders.
- Investigate intraday liquidity outages or disruptions with strong analytical curiosity, identifying root causes and remediation actions.
- Work closely with second line risk to develop and maintain intraday liquidity risk monitoring policies and supporting frameworks.
Data Quality, Governance & Controls
- Take ownership of the quality, timeliness, and completeness of data used in intraday and regulatory liquidity reporting.
- Build and maintain robust controls and governance frameworks to reduce operational risk and ensure data integrity.
- Provide support for data governance initiatives, internal audits, and regulatory inquiries related to liquidity risk and intraday liquidity management.
- Develop and implement checks and balances to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of system-generated liquidity data.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the intraday liquidity management system, processes, and analytical capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve automation, and enhance reporting efficiency and insight.
